Summary & Reflection of What I Learned

This week, we have learned what we need to include in our writing. People who read our work must be able to point out the intended audience & the purpose of it. Also, when writing a rhetorical analysis, one must persuade others of how you view something. We must read images for their powerful meanings & subliminal messages. When writing a thesis statement, we must point out the main point & what we are trying to get across to the reader. The thesis must also be arguable as well.
Reflecting on what I have learned, I noticed that things were broken down into something I can relate to & easier understand. Most teachers have a complicated way of expressing & defining things. This time around, I feel as if I will have a better grasp on things because I see them much more clearly.

  1. Myriah,
I completely understand how you feel about when things are broken down, they are better to understand. Do you know what your project is going to be about? I am still a little on the fence. I guess I should pick one by tomorrow. I was thinking minority high school dropout rates in Charlotte. Or there is the choice of homeless children in Charlotte. I am leaning more towards minority high school dropout rates. I think it's very interesting how each person can help or hurt the economy.
